// Mexican Contemporary - Continued

Custom design built single family homes with 2,000 Sq.Ft.(each) of living area located in Mexico.

Here's the continuation of our design exploration in Mexico with two individual homes and a demanding program to fit on a reduced lot where going vertical was inevitable. Although the floor plan layout is mirrored, every single detail was custom designed to establish a sense of individuality.  The cantilevered garage roof slab attempts to unify these homes giving it a horizontal scale.

Whether you're designing in dense cities or in the suburbs, reducing your footprint is the ultimate sustainable strategy.

Sustainability Highlights:

1. Low windows vs. wall ratio

2. Reduced house footprint by building vertical

3. Use of vernacular materials

4. Recycled CMU block
